Terms of Service

By registering for, accessing, or using the Pugs.GG platform — including any subdomain (e.g., yourcommunity.pugs.gg), our website at pugs.gg, or any related APIs — you confirm that you:

• Have read and understood these Terms of Service;
• Are at least 13 years of age (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction);
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
• Agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including community operators ("Tenants"), administrators, moderators, players, and visitors.

Pugs.GG is a multi-tenant SaaS platform that provides CS2 (Counter-Strike 2) community management tools. The platform enables Tenants to:

• Create and manage competitive match series (BO1, BO3, BO5 formats);
• Maintain player rosters, statistics, and competitive rankings;
• Host real-time map pick/ban draft sessions;
• Manage recruit applications from prospective players;
• Integrate with Discord for match and event notifications;
• Access match replays and GOTV streams (Elite plan);
• Manage dedicated CS2 game servers (Pro + Server / Elite + Server plans);
• Build a branded community hub, with white-label options on Elite plans.

Each Tenant community receives an isolated environment (subdomain and dedicated database). The specific features available depend on the subscribed plan (see Section 4).

Pugs.GG is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Valve Corporation or Counter-Strike 2. All CS2-related trademarks belong to Valve Corporation.

3.1 Registration

To use the platform, Tenants must complete the registration process, providing accurate and complete information. You agree to keep your account information up to date.

3.2 Authentication methods

The platform supports two authentication methods:

• Username & password: Your password is hashed and never stored in plaintext. You are responsible for choosing a strong password.
• Steam OpenID: You may link your Steam account for authentication. By doing so, you agree to Steam's terms of service and authorise us to receive your public Steam profile data.

3.3 Account security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must:

• Immediately notify us at contact@pugs.gg of any suspected unauthorised use of your account;
• Never share your credentials with third parties;
• Not allow others to access the platform using your account.

Pugs.GG will never ask for your password via email or chat.

3.4 Account roles

Within each Tenant community, users may hold one of the following roles:

• Admin: Full control over community settings, players, matches, and other admin accounts (within plan limits).
• Moderator: Limited administrative access for day-to-day community management.
• Player: Standard access to participate in matches, view rankings, and manage their own profile.

The Tenant (community owner) is responsible for managing roles appropriately and ensuring that all users within their community comply with these Terms.

4.1 Available plans

Pricing may vary by currency (BRL, USD, EUR). The applicable price is shown at checkout. All prices are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise.

4.2 Plan limits

The platform enforces limits based on your active plan. Attempting to exceed these limits (e.g., adding more players or admins than allowed) will be blocked by the system. Upgrading your plan will immediately unlock higher limits.

4.3 Billing cycle & payment

Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly basis from the date of activation. Payment is due in advance. We reserve the right to suspend or downgrade a Tenant account if payment is not received within 7 days of the due date.

4.4 Cancellation & refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
• Upon cancellation, your community data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, giving you time to export any necessary information.

4.5 Plan downgrades

If you downgrade to a plan with lower limits, features that exceed the new plan's limits will be restricted but not deleted immediately. You will be notified and given a grace period to resolve any limit conflicts before restrictions take effect.

4.6 Free plan

The Free plan is provided as-is with no service level guarantees beyond those applicable to all plans. Pugs.GG reserves the right to modify, limit, or discontinue the Free plan at any time with reasonable notice.

As a Tenant (community operator), you are the primary responsible party for your community on the platform. You agree to:

• Comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including data protection laws (LGPD, GDPR, etc.) for data you collect from your community members.
• Obtain necessary consents from your community members for data processing activities you conduct through the platform.
• Maintain a fair and respectful community environment. Pugs.GG reserves the right to suspend Tenant accounts whose communities engage in systematic abuse, harassment, or cheating.
• Keep your contact and billing information accurate so we can communicate with you about service changes, billing, and security matters.
• Safeguard admin credentials and ensure that all admin accounts within your community comply with these Terms.
• Use the platform only for legitimate CS2 community management and not for any purpose that violates these Terms or applicable law.

Tenants are solely responsible for the conduct of their community members. Pugs.GG is not liable for disputes between Tenants and their players.

You agree NOT to use the platform to:

6.1 Cheating & competitive integrity

• Manipulate, falsify, or misrepresent match results, statistics, or rankings;
• Use automation tools, bots, or scripts to gain unfair competitive advantages;
• Engage in match-fixing or any form of competitive fraud;
• Impersonate other players, teams, or community members.

6.2 Technical abuse

• Attempt to access, probe, or exploit platform systems, servers, or databases without authorisation;
• Circumvent authentication, rate limits, CSRF protections, or any other security mechanism;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the platform;
• Introduce malware, viruses, or any harmful code into the platform or connected CS2 servers;
• Conduct denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against Pugs.GG or any connected CS2 game servers;
• Scrape or harvest data from the platform using automated means without prior written authorisation.

6.3 Content & conduct

• Post, transmit, or distribute content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or illegal;
• Engage in harassment, bullying, or threats against other users;
• Spread propaganda that is racist, xenophobic, or violates human rights;
• Promote, facilitate, or engage in any form of illegal gambling;
• Share, distribute, or link to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — violations will be reported to law enforcement;
• Infringe upon third-party intellectual property rights.

6.4 Commercial restrictions

• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute platform access to third parties without written agreement with Pugs.GG;
• Use the platform to build a competing product or service;
• Misrepresent your affiliation with Pugs.GG for commercial gain.

7.1 Pugs.GG ownership

The Pugs.GG platform — including its software, source code, design, user interface, branding, logos, documentation, and all underlying technology — is the exclusive property of Pugs.GG and its developers. All rights reserved.

These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the platform. You receive only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the platform in accordance with your subscribed plan and these Terms.

7.2 Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, modify, or create derivative works of the platform;
• Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices;
• Use Pugs.GG branding or logos without prior written authorisation.

7.3 White-label (Elite plan)

Elite plan subscribers may enable white-label branding, replacing Pugs.GG branding with their own within their community subdomain. This does not transfer ownership of the underlying platform code. Pugs.GG retains all intellectual property rights to the platform.

7.4 Third-party rights

Counter-Strike 2, Steam, and related trademarks are the property of Valve Corporation. Pugs.GG operates independently and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Valve. Users must comply with Steam's Subscriber Agreement and CS2's terms of service when using the platform.

"User Content" refers to any content you submit to the platform, including player nicknames, profile avatars, community names, strategy notes, and any other data you input.

By submitting User Content, you:

• Represent that you have the right to submit that content;
• Grant Pugs.GG a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the platform;
• Acknowledge that Pugs.GG does not claim ownership of your User Content.

You remain responsible for all User Content you submit. Pugs.GG reserves the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

Match statistics and gameplay data collected from CS2 servers via MatchZy webhooks are platform data, not User Content. They are used to power rankings, profiles, and match history features.

Tenants on Pro + Server or Elite + Server plans receive access to managed CS2 game servers. The following additional terms apply:

• Server usage: Managed servers are provided exclusively for competitive CS2 matches within your Pugs.GG community. Use for other games, purposes, or communities is prohibited.
• Prohibited server activities: You may not install unauthorised plugins, run scripts that violate Valve's guidelines, use servers to host or distribute illegal content, or enable cheating tools of any kind.
• Maintenance: Pugs.GG reserves the right to perform server maintenance, updates, or emergency shutdowns. We will provide advance notice where practicable.
• Resource limits: Server usage is subject to fair-use policies. Excessive or abusive resource consumption may result in throttling or suspension.
• Data: Match data collected by MatchZy on managed servers is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
• Server termination: Upon plan cancellation or account suspension, server access will be terminated. Pugs.GG is not responsible for data loss on managed servers after termination.

Pugs.GG targets 99.9% monthly uptime for paid plans. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance windows will be communicated in advance via email or in-platform notifications.

The following do not count against uptime calculations:

• Scheduled maintenance communicated at least 24 hours in advance;
• Emergency maintenance required to address security vulnerabilities;
• Outages caused by third-party services (Valve/Steam, DNS providers, CDNs);
• Force majeure events (natural disasters, widespread internet disruptions, etc.).

Service credits for downtime below the 99.9% target may be available on paid plans upon written request. Contact contact@pugs.gg within 7 days of the incident.

The Free plan is provided without any uptime guarantee.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PUGS.GG PROVIDES THE PLATFORM ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement;
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of match statistics, rankings, or any data displayed on the platform;
• Warranties that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from harmful components.

Pugs.GG does not warrant that any competitive rankings, player ratings, or match results are accurate or final. Statistics are calculated based on data received from CS2 game servers and may be subject to correction.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PUGS.GG AND ITS DEVELOPERS, OFFICERS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages;
• Loss of data, profits, revenue, business opportunities, or goodwill;
• Damages resulting from unauthorised access to or alteration of your account or data;
• Disputes or damages arising between Tenants and their community members;
• Loss or corruption of match replays, game statistics, or any stored gaming data;
• Actions or omissions of third-party services (Valve/Steam, Discord, CS2 servers, email providers).

In any case, Pugs.GG's total aggregate liability for claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Pugs.GG in the 3 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or R$50 (fifty Brazilian reais) if you are on the Free plan.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain implied warranties or liabilities. In such cases, these limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pugs.GG, its developers, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

• Your use of or inability to use the platform;
• Your violation of these Terms of Service;
• Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights;
• User Content you submit to the platform;
• Any dispute between you and your community members or other Tenants;
• Your failure to comply with data protection obligations for your community members.

14.1 Termination by you

You may cancel your account and subscription at any time through the platform settings or by contacting us at contact@pugs.gg. See Section 4.4 for data retention after cancellation.

14.2 Termination by Pugs.GG

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:

• You materially breach these Terms and fail to cure the breach within 7 days of written notice;
• You engage in conduct that poses an immediate security risk to the platform or other users;
• Payment obligations are not met for more than 14 days;
• We are required to do so by law or court order;
• We decide to discontinue the platform (with at least 30 days' notice where possible).

14.3 Effect of termination

Upon termination: your access to the platform will be revoked; community data will be retained for 30 days then permanently deleted; provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (Sections 7, 11, 12, 13, and 16) will remain in force.

Modifications to the platform: Pugs.GG may modify, add, or remove platform features at any time. For material changes that significantly impact paid subscribers, we will provide at least 14 days' advance notice.

Modifications to these Terms: We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-platform notification. The revised Terms will be effective from the date indicated at the top of this page.

Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must stop using the platform and may request account termination.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brazil.

Informal resolution: Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you agree to contact us at contact@pugs.gg and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for a period of at least 30 days. This requirement does not apply to urgent injunctive relief or intellectual property matters.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
